Majora's Mask Items

(Note: Each item will have a number of *’s after it. This indicates the usefulness of the item. 1* means that the item isnt really useful, while 5*’s mean it is a great weapon and it should be kept on one of the “C” buttons at all times)

Ocarina of Time: The Ocarina of Time from “The Legend of Zelda” Ocarina of Time.” This is must have item, and is of great importance. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * * *

Hero’s Bow: This is a good, strong, long ranged bow that has the ability to fire regular, and magical arrows. A nice addition to your arsenal. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * * *

Fire Arrows: The playing time with these arrows is considerably much less than regular arrows. Use these to melt ice, or fire these at large snowballs to make them explode! Raistlyn’s Rating = * * *

Ice Arrows: The playing time with these arrows is considerably much less than regular arrows. Use these to freeze things into blocks of ice, or watch certain things freeze to death when you shoot an enemy with these. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * *

Light Arrows: The playing time with these arrows is very limited, using them only in one dungeon. These waste up twice as much magic as Fire or Ice arrows, but in return they are a bit stronger. Again, you will use these on a very seldom occasion, so don’t get excited beyond belief. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * *

Bombs: Ah yes, bombs return in this game as well, and besides better explosion looks, they are a bit more powerful too! These aren’t really a “use all the time” weapon, but they do come in handy! Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * *

Bombchu: Yuck, these are even worse than they were in Ocarina of Time! Their paths are much more unstable and the range is a bit longer than in the previous game. They wont be getting a whole lot of playing time, so only practice with them when you know you’re going to need them. Raistlyn’s Rating = * *

Deku Stick: These are just about the same as the Deku Sticks from Ocarina of Time. Use these as torches. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * *

Deku Nut: These are about the same as Ocarina of Time. They stun enemies for a limited time while you slice them up. These are best used as Deku Link when using the flowercopters (as I call them) to stun enemies on the ground just in case you know you’re not going to make it to the other side of a ravine, and you don’t want any hassle trying again. Raistlyn’s Rating = * *

Magic Beans: These are used just about the same as they were in Ocarina of Time, except, you don’t have 7 years to wait. So you must put spring water in a bottle and water the seed when you plant these. The number of Bean Holes in Termina just about triples the amount in Hyrule, so these can be used quite often! Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * *

Powder Keg: Awwww yeah! These things are powerful. Able to blow open huge boulders, these are a great asset! Problem is, only one can be held one at a time. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * *

Pictograph Box: This has it’s uses, you can either take a picture of the Deku King, or Tingle to get a heart piece, or afterwards, a silver ruppee! But afterwards, it is pretty much useless. Raistlyn’s Rating = *

Lens of Truth: The playing time on this has gone up, considerably. And uses magic a bit faster than it did in Ocarina of Time. With this you can see invisible enemies, see thru optical illusions, etc.... This is a good addition to you inventory! Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * *

Hookshot: The hookshot in this game actually exceeds the length on the Longshot in Ocarina of Time! With this you can grapple onto certain ledges, wooden beams, kill out of reach enemies, bring enemies to you, collect The Skulltula tokens in the skulltula houses and so on and so forth. This is an excellent addition to your arsenal! Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * * *

Great Fairy’s Sword: Think about the Biggoron’s Sword from Ocarina of Time and you will have an idea as to what this thing’s power is like! It required Link to use both hands to use it, which means that you wont be able to use your shield, but since it is a C button item, that isnt much of a worry then now is it? Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * * * (if I could go any higher, the page would be filled with *s )

Bottles: There are 6 bottles in Majora’s Mask to collect. Refer to the Bottle guide to find out how to get them all.

Event Items: The 4 item slots not used on the right side of the item screen are used for Event Items. These are the not-so-important items that are used in the many sidequests in this game.

Swords

Kokiri Sword: Short, almost dagger like, this is the first sword of the game, and therefore weak. However, you do keep it, no matter what happens. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * *

Razor Sword: This sword, forged from the Kokiri sword is twice as powerful, but can only be used 100 times until it becomes the Kokiri sword again. Plus, you cant travel back in time with it! Horrible! Raistlyn’s Rating = * *

Gilded Sword: Now this is more like it! 3 times as strong as the Kokiri sword, longer, and CAN be taken back in time, the Gilded sword required Gold Dust in order to forge from the Razor sword. To get Gold Dust, win the goron races. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * * *

Shields:

Hero’s Shield: Sturdy, strong, large, iron, excellent shield! This shield is very similar to the Hylian shield in Ocarina of Time. It can reflect Physical projectiles. Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * * *

Mirror Shield: Looks nothing like the Mirror shield from Ocarina of Time, but does the exact same thing. Reflects magical attacks and light onto whatever it is aimed at. NOTE: This cannot deflect Physical projectiles, only magical. (although it should have looked better) Raistlyn’s Rating = * * * * *
