Weapon List This is a spoiler to all of the weapons in Perfect Dark (bold Perfect Dark Please). It lists the primary and secondary function of each weapon (if it has one) and how to use each weapon effectively. Enjoy! Unarmed: Never resort to this unless you absolutely must. Also, if you MUST use the unarmed weapon, use the secondary mode, “Disarm”, to steal an enemy’s gun and then use it against them!
Falcon 2 : An all around good handgun. Accurate and deadly. When used in slo-mo, you can constantly tap “Z” to unleash the 8 round clip into a target with amazing speed. If you mess up with this weapon, it is your fault. Its secondary function is a pistol whip. This is totally useless. Although it is ONLY useful if you are out of ammo
for every gun in your inventory, you are better off using the “disarm” ability.
Falcon 2 (silencer): See above, only with a stealthy addition.
Falcon 2 (Scope) : See above, only with the added ability of a small scope for added accuracy.
Mag Sec 4: This gun trades accuracy for power and has a 9 round magazine. Can be fired fast in heated conditions. Its secondary function is a 3-round burst. Good for cleaning
up a mess after the single shot has done its work.
Phoenix: The Maian standard pistol. It can fire single shots at a good rate, or it can fire
explosive shots as a secondary function at the cost of shot rate.
Mauler: The Skedar standard handgun. Lethal and has a 20 round magazine, its secondary function is a charge shot. Using 5 extra ammo, and then the blast (6 in all) for a really devastating blast.
Tranquilizer : This handy little gun is used to F*** up an enemy’s vision. Or, switch it to the
secondary function to give people a lethal injection at close range.
CMP150 : Rapid fire, with a 32 round magazine make this a good gun. Also, to make it even better, the secondary function is a follow lock-on use that follows enemies once you target them with the “L” or “R” buttons.
Laser : This is a wrist-mounted laser that has infinite ammunition but is surprisingly weak. Its pulse shots don’t really cause a good amount of damage, and the secondary function is even weaker. A small constant beam of energy at close range. This is hardly a good weapon. Moonrakers were better in GoldenEye 007.
Callisto NTG : This gun is NICE! It has a 32 round magazine, and can be used for rapid-fire, or can use high impact rounds to shoot through objects or doors at the cost of shot rate for its secondary function.
Laptop Gun : This weapon is good all around. A sub-machine gun with a 50 round magazine and an excellent shot rate. The secondary function means throwing the gun away, but it is deployed as a sentry gun that will attack any enemies it can “see.” Plus, it has a zoom for added uses.
Cyclone : Another 50 round magazine sub-machine gun. The cyclone is good at keeping enemies at bay. As an added bonus, the secondary function is used for heated conditions, unleashing the entire magazine in less than 1.5 seconds. Not accurate, but still a major threat.
Farsight XR-20 : This is one of the best weapons in the game. It has the ability to see through walls, and SHOOT THROUGH WALLS using an X-ray scanner, and high velocity rounds. The secondary function finds targets for you, making this weapon very deadly. Also, the rounds are so powerful, that an enemy can’t take more than 2 shots.
Dragon : This assault rifle is good at clearing a path. The 30 round magazine is all you will need to find your way until you reach your objective. The secondary function is especially nasty. However, the secondary function requires that you throw the gun away. The secondary function sets the gun as a proximity mine that looks like a gun you would pick up! Just don’t fall for your own trap!
Super Dragon : Picture the Dragon, only with the proximity mine removed, and replaced with a small 6 round per-clip grenade launcher!
Reaper : This weapon is excellent at close range, or for cleaning up a corridor. The 200 round magazine is useful, but the gun is entirely too inaccurate. The secondary function is horrible, but kind of funny. With the ammunition gone, the barrels are bladed and used as a grinder. Still, the secondary function is just about useless. The gun is totally useless at long range. What good is a 200 round clip if 150 of the shots miss?
Shotgun : Kill people the hillbilly way with the shotgun. Excellent at close range, almost too good at close range. However the main drawback is the reloading time, just about 7 or 8 seconds make the gun a threat to the enemy AND you! The secondary function is a double blast used to make sure the enemy feels the pain, if it isn’t dead. The shotgun has a large cartridge capacity, 9 cartridges.
Crossbow : This useful little gadget has two types of arrows: arrows with sedatives to knock people out, or its secondary function is lethal arrows that can kill in one or two hits! Mostly close range. However, the drawback to this weapon is a long reloading rate.
Rocket Launcher : This weapon is just excellent at cleaning up a lot of enemies at once. The secondary function is a slower moving targeted rocket that will follow the person you have locked onto with “L” or “R”.
Slayer : Have you ever played Metal Gear Solid? Yes? Well, you are sure to be familiar with the Nikita missile launcher. This rocket launcher can fire unguided rockets, or as its secondary function, a fly-by-wire rocket that is in every way, better than the Nikita missile launcher, having infinite fuel, and able to ascend, or descend. Also, you can detonate the rocket pre-maturely. The only downside to the secondary function is that there is no radar. To slow down a fly-by-wire rocket, hold “A”, “B”, “L”, or “R”, and press “Z” to detonate it
pre-maturely.
K7 Avenger : The dataDyne assault rifle. Powerful and has a zoom, the major drawback to this gun is the smallish magazine size. 25 rounds. The secondary function is a threat detector, locating sentry guns, mines, and other hazards. It is still possible to fire with the threat detector on.
AR34 Assault Rifle : Not quite as powerful as the K7 Avenger, the AR34 has a 30 round magazine, and nice secondary function, the ability to move while you have a zoom active.
RC-P120 : Probably the best gun in the game, the RC-P120 has a 120 round magazine, and a surprisingly fast reloading rate. The true killer for this gun is the secondary function: A prototype cloaking device that runs off the ammunition you have for the gun. The bullets are generally weak, but the gun makes up for it with excellent shot rate, and the huge magazine.
Sniper Rifle : With an EXCELLENT zoom function and incredible range, the Sniper Rifle is good at hitting stationary targets. The secondary function causes you to crouch and steady your aim for lethal accuracy.
DY357 Magnum : Powerful. That describes the gun. The drawbacks are a small magazine and a slow reloading rate. The secondary function is the pistol whip ability, and is therefore useless.
DY357-LX : Trent Easton’s gun. The magnum has special bullets that shatter inside the victim to take them down quickly. One or two shots should be all an opponent can take. The secondary function is the pistol whip ability and is hardly used.
Combat Knife : These are brutal. The standard knife slash is used, but the killer is the secondary function: Throwing a knife with a vial of deadly poison that hurts the victim 4 more times, and really messes up their vision. However, the poison knives will not work against a shielded enemy.
Timed Mine : A mine with a 5 second fuse. Tricky, very tricky. The secondary function is a threat detector, but unlike the K7 avenger, you cannot throw mines with this function out.
Proximity Mine : A mine that is triggered by movement. The secondary function is a threat detector, but as with the Timed Mine, you can’t throw mines in this function.
Devastator : This nice dataDyne piece of art has two nice delivery systems. The standard grenade launch system, or the strategic secondary function, the wall hugger. The grenade will stick to the wall, floor, ceiling you launched it onto, and will not activate for about a second and a half. At this point it will explode (if on the ground) or fall off the wall or ceiling.
Remote Mine : This type of mine is remote controlled. The secondary function is the detonator, but you can simply press the “A” and “B” buttons together to detonate the mine easier.
N-Bomb : This is a nasty weapon. Not only does it mess up enemy vision, but it also disarms them! The bomb is generally weak, but has a nice radius of effect. Also, it pulsates out which may fool a person standing at the edge of the initial detonation. The secondary function allows you to throw it out as a proximity N-Bomb for your pleasure. Just don’t fall into your own trap!
Grenade : An upgraded version of the trusty grenade. It can be used as a standard grenade with a four second fuse, or it can be thrown as a bouncing proximity bomb. The grenade in “Proximity Pinball” mode will bounce off walls and this may hinder your progress. Take care when using this secondary function.
Psychosis Gun : Basically, this gun makes bad guys, good guys. All you have to do is shoot the enemy with this. Unlock this gun by completing the Chicago-Stealth mission on the Perfect Agent difficulty setting in under 2 minutes. You also get this gun in the Maian SOS mission. Unlocked by beating the solo missions (all of them) on the Special Agent setting.
This gun is NOT available in multi-player. Hey, could you imagine having EVERYONE on one team!?
PP9i : The PP7 from GoldenEye 007. Good Firepower, and of course, no reloading time!

CC13 : The DD44 Dostovei from GoldenEye 007. A must have, and of course, no reloading time!
KLO1313 : The gun we all loved to hate! The Klobb from GoldenEye 007. (KLO 1313, see, it spells “KLOBB”) No reloading time make this a little better in this game!
KF7 Special : The KF7 Soviet from GoldenEye 007. The excellent KF7 returns in this game, and no reloading time! (Note: This gun is modeled after the real life AK-47 rifle.)
ZZT (9mm) :The ZMG 9mm from GoldenEye 007. Wish you could use this without cheating huh? No reloading time! (Note: This gun is modeled after the real life UZI 9mm)
DMC : The D5K from GoldenEye 007. So this gun was underrated. Oh well, no reloading time! (Note: This gun is modeled after the real life HK MP5)
AR53 : The AR33 assault rifle from GoldenEye 007. Ah, the ever-classic gun of destruction! No reloading time! (Note: This gun is modeled after the real life M-16A2)
RC-P45 : The RC-P90 from GoldenEye 007. The bad boy is back! With all of its ammo consuming, door penetrating, room cleaning action! No reloading time! (Note: This gun is modeled after the FN-P90)
(Note: None of the GoldenEye 007 guns have a secondary function. Also, sadly, none of them are used in the multi-player....crap huh?) |
